Our
August Program
Giveaway

Each
program meeting, we have a drawing for members for a free seminar or similar
prize. Sometimes these are worth more than a year's dues!
For
our August 21 "Four Models for Conflict Resolution" program, we
are giving away Otto
Scharmer's new book, Theory
U. (Cash value: $38.00)
Otto
Scharmer is a Senior Lecturer at the Massachusetts Institute of
Technology and the founding chair of ELIAS (Emerging
Leaders for Innovation Across Sectors), an initiative focused on
developing profound system innovations for a more sustainable world.
Otto is also a highly popular Learning Group presenter. His September
2004 "Presence" and December
2005 "Theory U" programs set out attendance record for
those years. We are pleased to have him present on "Learning
From the Future" at our September
19 meeting.
Concerning
Theory U, Ed
Schein has written, "Readers will be impressed not only by
the depth of theory in this volume but also by the very practical
approach that Scharmer provides us for enlarging our human capacity
for growth. This will be an important book." Ken
Wilbur notes that "Otto Scharmer has given us a brilliant,
provocative, and important book on the leading-edge of the 'next big
thing': integral thought."
The
prize is open to all Learning Group members attending October 10,
including those who join at the meeting. The winner must comply with
the following conditions:
1.
Your dues must be paid up if they are overdue!
